Scholarship Description

The Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation DEI Scholarship is a scholarship to encourage Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) students to pursue higher education and careers in the ski resort industry and to foster increased diversity in the industry’s workforce. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years. To renew, student must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and remain enrolled at Colorado Mountain college in continued pursuit of higher education toward a career in the ski resort industry.

Applicants must: Be a BIPOC student attending or entering Colorado Mountain College with declared interest in and taking classes relevant to the Ski/Snowboard Industry; Studying, Resort Management, or Business Administration programs. Preference will be given to students attending the CMC Alpine Campus in Steamboat Springs; Demonstrate financial need; Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale; and Intend to, upon graduation, actively seek a position in the ski/snowboard industry.
