Scholarship Description

He loved time with his family and his dog Ginger. He enjoyed travel. He was a skilled sailor, avid skier, and obsessed golfer. He was a graduate of Notre Dame with a degree in physics and went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. After a long and distinguished corporate career, he retired and began a second career by joining a small company, Cornell Technical Services, as Chief Operating Officer and partner.

In honor of Paul Thompson, Cornell Technical Services has created a scholarship foundation in his name. The scholarship program funds up to two scholarships each year in the amount of $2,500 each. The purpose of the Paul Thompson Scholarship Fund is to support currently enrolled Aerospace Engineering students pursuing careers in the Aeronautics industry. Applicants must be a current College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior, College 5th Year, 1st Year Grad or 2nd Year Grad (with a 3.0 GPA).
