To help develop future leaders of the secular community, the Rationalists of East Tennessee is offering ten scholarships of $2000 each. To be eligible, applicants must be: A resident of U.S., Canada, or U.S. territories the at time of application; and Studying full-time at an accredited college or university in Fall of the year the scholarship is awarded. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. Previous recipients are eligible to apply again. Use of funds is unrestricted.
Scholarship Details
- Up to 10 scholarships available
- Each scholarship is worth $2,200
- Funds can be used for various purposes, including tuition, books, food, and rent
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be residents of the U.S., Canada, or U.S. territories
- Must be studying full-time at an accredited college or university in Fall 2024
- Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible
- Previous recipients can apply again
- As the scholarship is unrestricted, it is considered taxable income
Application Process
- Submit your scholarship application between February 1 and May 1st; the first 100 applications received will be considered
- Winners will be selected by July 1st
- Funds will be distributed once matriculation is verified
There are many scholarships available from religious organizations for students. RET wishes to expand the educational opportunities of secular students in hopes of helping to develop future secular leadership.
