Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance eXceL Awards

eXceL Awards is a creative arts competition by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, allowing high school authors, poets, artists, songwriters, filmmakers and performers the opportunity to express themselves on topics of interest and vital importance to Indiana teenagers. Since 1989, eXceL Awards has invited every Indiana high school student to express himself or herself on a relevant issue.

The Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship

The Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship provides scholarships for undergraduate college students presently enrolled in an Indiana college or university. The scholarship is awarded to deserving students with an academic major of medicine, sports medicine, physical therapy and/or related disciplines. The scholarship was established in the memory of Linda Lorraine Sharvelle Craig by Indiana Pacers Head Athletic Trainer David Craig and Dr. John Abrams. The scholarship is supported by those who remember Linda and perpetuate her legacy through the scholarship recipients.

Each year, 25 students in the 10th and 11th grades are selected to receive awards of up to 50 percent (50%) of their calculated need at the college of their choice within the continental United States.

The Minority Teacher Scholarship

The Minority Teacher Scholarship was created by the 1988 Indiana General Assembly to address the critical shortage of Black and Hispanic teachers in Indiana. In 1990 the Indiana General Assembly amended the Minority program to include the field of Special Education, and in 1991 the fields of Occupational and Physical Therapy were added.
