The Louisiana Go Grants are designed to assist low-income and moderate-income college
freshmen and nontraditional students in closing funding gaps that may prevent them
from attending college. Grants are awarded to Louisiana students who qualify to
receive Pell Grants and are enrolled in eligible institutions in Louisiana. Annual
awards range from $500 for students enrolled less than half-time to $2,000 for students
enrolled full-time.

The STIRS Fund was specifically created to provide cash scholarships to assist selected
graduating/graduated high school students in the Greater Baton Rouge area who will
enroll in a college or university and are striving to reach academic success. The
scholarship award is to be used toward the following, in order of priority: tuition
and fees; room and board; books and supplies; and commuting expenses up to fifty
dollars a month. The recipients are to be selected by an independent Selection and
Review Committee.

The Fund for Bogalusa was established in October of 1999 as a Donor Advised Fund
by Larry and Ginger Paddock through the Baton Rouge Area Foundation. The Fund was
specifically created to provide seed capital that would act as a catalyst for the
Paddocks and other contributors to serve their hometown long past their lifetimes.
Contributions go directly toward projects that improve the quality of life in the
Bogalusa area.
The fund provides $2,000 per semester for eight semesters to a qualifying Bogalusa
High School graduate. The scholarship award is to be used toward tuition, fees,
room and board, books, supplies and commuting expenses.
