Missouri Higher Education Academic "Bright Flight" Scholarship Program

The Missouri Higher Education Academic “Bright Flight” Scholarship Program is a merit-based program that encourages top-ranked high school seniors to attend approved Missouri postsecondary schools. Scholarships of $2,000 per year are awarded to Missouri students who score in the top 3 percent of the state on the SAT or ACT. To qualify, a student must be a graduating high school senior (or equivalent) who enrolls as a first-time, full time student at an approved Missouri school.

The Missouri Minority Teacher Education Scholarship Program

The Missouri Minority Teaching Scholarship is a $3000 award, which is renewable for up to four years. Applicants must be a resident of Missouri, be an African-American, Asisan-American, Hispanic-American or Native American, be a high school senior, college student, or returning adult (without a degree) who ranked in the top 25% of their high school class or scored at or above the 75th percentile on the ACT or SAT examination; or be an individual who has completed 30 college hours and has a cumulative GPA of 3.0; be an individual with a baccalaureate degree who is returning to an approved math or science teacher education program, attend an approved teacher education program at a community college or college or university in Missouri.

The Project 21 Scholarship Program

"Project 21" is a public awareness campaign designed to encourage young people to help educate other youth about the dangers and consequences of underage gambling. In Missouri, gambling in a casino is not permitted for persons under the age of 21. The scholarship competition is open to all Missouri high school seniors planning to attend an institution of higher education in the United States.

The "Project 21 Scholarship Program", sponsored by the Missouri Gaming Association, is calling for student submissions in the form of articles, posters or videos addressing the issue of underage gambling. Submissions must be published in the student’s school newspaper or magazine, or displayed at the school between January 1st and February 28th. The deadline for submissions is March 5th. The Missouri Gaming Association will award two $1,500 scholarships and four $1,000 scholarships.

Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program

The Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program provides need-based grants of up to $4,600 to students attending a two-year or four-year public or private college or university in the state of Missouri. To qualify, students must be Missouri residents and must complete the FAFSA by April 1 each year.
