How To Enter:
From the list provided to you, you must select the field of study that you plan
to pursue and answer the essay question asked for that particular major.
Your online entry must be a 250 to 350 word essay; grammar and spelling will be
among the criteria used to select a Winner. Your selected field of study must be
one of the following: Art, Business, Computer Science, Culinary Arts, Design, Education,
Engineering, English, Health, History, Law, Science, or Technology.
Eligibility
- All applicants must be registered users of Scholarships.com
- The Scholarships.com $1,000 Scholarships are open to all United States citizens
who are current undergraduate students or high school seniors planning to enroll
in a college or university in the coming fall. Applicants must have indicated in
their profile an interest in one of the eligible fields of study.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled or plan to attend a U.S. Department of Education
accredited 2-year or 4-year college, university or trade school in the fall semester
following their entry. High school seniors may be enrolled in public or private
schools, or they may be home-schooled.
- Entries will be for the applicable academic year based on date of application. Entries
do not carry over to subsequent entrants, but applicants are welcome to submit future
entries if their essay is not chosen. Once an applicant has won, they are no longer
eligible for future Scholarships.com "Fund Your Future" scholarships. All submissions
from past Winners will be automatically disqualified and discarded.
Submission Method
All submissions must be entered electronically through the online submission form
no later than 11:59:59 CST on the day of deadline. Essays must consist of no fewer
than 250 words and no more than 350 words. Submissions by mail or email will not
be accepted. Your entry must contain your full (first, middle and last) name,
complete home address including zip code, home telephone number with area code,
date of birth, and email address. If any of this information is not accurate, your
entry will be disqualified.

Timeline
Entries received after the application deadlines, as stated in the scholarship description,
will be disqualified. Winners will be notified within six weeks of the application
deadlines and announced within four weeks of acceptance of prize.
Prizes:
- Each Winner will be awarded one $1,000 scholarship
Award money is to be used solely as tuition reimbursement for each Winner's own
college education in the field or major of their choosing. In order to receive the
scholarship, all Prize Winners must plan to attend a U.S. Department of Education
accredited 2-year or 4-year college or trade school in the fall semester following
their entry. Funds will be paid directly to the student.
The receipt of each Prize by each recipient is subject to the following conditions:
- Prize Winner must sign all required legal documents provided by Scholarships.com,
verifying and guaranteeing the work submitted is an original, unpublished essay
authored by said Prize Winner. Any essay found to be, in any way, reproduced or
copied from an existing work will immediately be disqualified
- All Prizes awarded must be applied to cover Prize Winner's college, university or
trade school tuition

Sponsor reserves the right to terminate this promotion by giving notice as deemed
appropriate to Sponsor, on this Web site, and should such notice be given, the promotion
shall terminate at 11:59:59 p.m. (ET) on the 7th day thereafter. Notwithstanding
said termination, the Prizes will be awarded as set forth in these Official Rules.
Limitation of Liability:
Scholarships.com is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information,
technical error, or human error which may occur in the processing of entries and
submissions. Scholarships.com assumes no responsibility for any error, omission,
interruption, deletion, defect or alteration of entries. Scholarships.com reserves
the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Scholarships.com
$1,000 Scholarships, in whole or in part, at any time.
Selection of the Winners:
One Winner will be selected from among all eligible entries for each scholarship.
The odds of winning depend on the number of entries submitted and the quality of
each entry. The decisions of judges are final. The Winner will be notified via email.
If Sponsor does not receive a reply to the Winner notification announcement sent
by email within ten (10) days from the date sent, the Prize will be forfeited and
an alternate Winner will be selected from among the remaining eligible entries.
Unless prohibited by law, the Winner will be required to complete and return an
affidavit of eligibility and a publicity/liability release within two (2) weeks
of responding to the notification. Acceptance of Prize constitutes permission (except
where prohibited by law) to use Winner's name, city, state, likeness and/or voice
for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation.
Prize award materials and information will be sent to the Winner after all required
proof and documentation is received.
Terms & Conditions:
By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions
of Sponsor, which shall be final. All applicable federal, provincial, state, and
local laws and regulations apply.
Except where prohibited by law, participation constitutes the Winning Contestants'
consent to Sponsor's use of their names, city and state of residence and entry for
advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes in any media, online or offline,
without further permission, consent, payment or other consideration, unless prohibited
by law. If, for any reason, the Promotion is not capable of running as planned,
including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention,
fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration,
security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, Sponsor reserves
the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the
Promotion and to award the Grand Prize from among all eligible entries received
prior to the date of termination. Sponsor reserves the right to amend or modify
the terms & conditions at any time during the Promotion.
