This year, 2010, I visited University of Portland and I took a tour. The campus is breath taking as it sits on the bluff overlooking the river and downtown Portland. It is amazing how each building is built using recylced materials and even rain water. The campus stole my heart as soon as I stepped foot on the campus! All the students there are so sharp and friendly. The school offers a wide variety of sports, clubs, you name it! Even those who do not play sports competitively, students can play organized sports with eachother in the inramural sports such as ultimate frisbee and basketball. The on campus living is also fantastic;there are no clicks, soroities,or fraternities. Yes, this is a private Catholic school but half the students are not Catholic. This University welcomes all; you are free to practice what ever you like! They also have ROTC! Check out the school and see it for yourself! It is worth the trip!
