Capture the Dream, Inc.'s Single Parent Scholarship
In hopes of encouraging single California parents to pursue higher education, Capture the Dream, Inc. ("CTD") announced the introduction of its Single Parent Scholarship Fund offering college-bound students with a $1,000 scholarship to support their goal of obtaining a four-year degree.
Low-income, single parents who are California residents and will be enrolled full or part-time at a 2- or 4-year institution in Fall 2013 are eligible to apply. This scholarship may only be used for undergraduate level studies. As a single parent, you must be able to demonstrate that you are single and have legal custody of one or more minor children.
Applicants will primarily be evaluated on the strengths of their essays, history of community service, demonstrated leadership, GPA, and financial need. Eligible applicants must be well-rounded individuals who have demonstrated exemplary achievements in academic, community, and leadership activities. There is no minimum GPA requirement and there is no application fee required for submission.
