Good Tidings Foundation Community Service Scholarship
The Good Tidings Foundation is a non-profit, 501-(c)-3 public benefit charity that shares the spirit of giving with youth from communities of need in the San Francisco Bay Area to empower them to reach their dreams. We feel that every girl and boy deserves to have the means to achieve their dreams regardless of financial status, ethnic background, religion, gender, or region of living. We created this scholarship award in 1999 for high school seniors who recognize the benefits of serving their community. Scholarships are awarded based on greatest service and financial need.
Required Attachments (please do not staple):
- Applicants must attach a single-sided, two-page (maximum), double-spaced essay describing your unique community service activities. We recommend you list all of your community service, but focus on one project in your essay. - Include a one-page letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, charity director or person familiar with your community service and financial need.
Applicants must reside in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area with boundaries to the south to include Monterey/Salinas/Hollister/Los Banos areas and to the east Turlock/Modesto/Lodi/Davis areas and to the north Bodega Bay/Santa Rosa/Calistoga area.
