Strategic Communication: Integrated Marketing Scholarship
Students interested in majoring in strategic communication: integrated marketing - which includes advertising, marketing, public relations and social media - are invited to apply for a $20,000 scholarship at Stephens College. The scholarship is $5,000 per year, renewable for up to four years based on specific academic criteria.
To be considered, students must register online then submit a document including an introduction, resume and product, service or event idea in response to the prompt found on the web. Students must apply and be accepted to Stephens College unconditionally to receive the scholarship. Submissions must be received by January 13th at 11:59 p.m. CST. The scholarship will be awarded to a high school graduate entering Stephens College in the upcoming fall semester. Students may not receive more than one program scholarship and are thus encouraged to submit for only one academic program scholarship competition.
The faculty in the School of Organizational Leadership & Strategic Communication (SOLSC) who teach courses in the integrated marketing communications field will judge all entries and determine the recipient. The recipient will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship, renewable each academic year. Additional scholarships may be available based on entries received. The recipient and all applicants will be notified by January 27th.
The scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s account each year, one-half in the fall semester and one-half in the spring semester. To renew the scholarship, the student must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average at Stephens and declare a major in strategic communication: integrated marketing at Stephens College.
