William L. Clay Scholarship
The William L. Clay Scholarship and Research Fund awards scholarships for full-time study toward a bachelor's degree in the program and at the institution of a scholar’s choice. Whenever possible, the scholarship covers full tuition and fees. The scholarship is available only to students living in Missouri's First Congressional District.
More than 200 St. Louis-area students have received a Clay Scholarship since 1985. Award amounts vary and are based on both academic potential and demonstration of financial need.
This year's applications are due by March 1st. All applicants must be recommended by responsible adults or school counselors who know the applicant's character and academic ability. Students must be high school seniors. If the applicant is eligible, they must be a registered voter. No applicant will be denied participation based on race, creed, color, national origin or religion. There are no charges associated with participation in the application process.
