Conservation Internships-Nationwide

Founded in 1957, the Student Conservation Association (SCA) is the nation's largest and oldest provider of conservation service opportunities, outdoor education, and leadership training for youth.

Participating in an SCA Conservation Internship is your chance to join more than 2000 people who each year enjoy exciting and challenging work and service opportunities in more than 50 different disciplines in national parks, forests, wildlife refuges, and with nonprofits nationwide, in all 50 states. Position lengths vary from 12 weeks to 12 months. These efforts benefit the environment as well as participants who learn new skills, make career contacts and expand personal capacities.

Types of opportunities include: Backcountry or River patrol in a National Park in CA; working on an archaeological dig in CO; working on public policy in a congressional office in Washington DC; visitor services and interpretation in AZ; wildlife studies in GA; graphics work and photography in VA; trail work in ME; botany field work in Hawaii – the possibilities with SCA are unlimited!
