Furman University Teacher Education Scholarship

The Furman Teacher Education Scholarships are available to entering freshmen who plan a career as an elementary or secondary school teacher. Three $2,000 renewable scholarships awarded each year to entering freshmen who indicate teaching as their career goal. A separate application must be submitted by January 15th. One of these scholarships is designated for participants in the Teacher Cadet Program. These scholarships are renewable based on the recipient maintaining a cumulative 3.0 GPA and a continued interest in teaching.
