NJNF Internship/Scholarship Program

The New Jersey Newspaper Foundation, which was founded in 1962 as the NJPA Scholarship Fund, Inc., every year awards more than $40,000 in scholarships and internships and supports other programs that promote journalism careers and newspaper readership among New Jersey residents. NJNF was previously known as the New Jersey Press Foundation.

Eight internships and scholarships for New Jersey residents who will work in paid internships at New Jersey newspapers for 10 weeks.

To receive a New Jersey Newspaper Foundation internship and scholarship, you must be:
- A U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident (green card)
- A resident of New Jersey with a New Jersey home address (NJNF follows the residency rules New Jersey’s state colleges use to determine in-state tuition costs)
- Enrolled as a full-time college freshman, sophomore or junior and planning to return to undergraduate school in the fall
