The Bel Canto Vocal Scholarship Foundation

The Bel Canto Vocal Scholarship Foundation awards over $15,000 in scholarship awards to American opera singers between the ages of 20 and 37(birth certificate/passport required-no green cards) who are seriously pursuing a career in Opera. Auditions are held in Evanston IL. at Northwestern University, Rhode Island College, Providence, RI, and The Iniversity of Southern California, LA (Thornton School of Music).

Auditions are held in October and November. Finals are held in December in Providence, RI. Eight finalists are chosen. Winners from the west coast and midwest recieve air fare. All winners recieve hotel accomidations. Audition dates will be posted on our web site at http://www.belcantoscholarship.com in early May. Applicants are required to pay a $35.00 proccessing fee.
