California Law Enforcement Personnel Dependents Grant Program (LEPD)

There is no application fee for the LEPD Grant Program.

Application Deadline: There is no deadline to apply (applications are accepted throughout the academic year).

Residency: U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; California resident

Parent deceased or disabled: Firefigher, Police Officer or Public Safety Officer.
Award may be used for: Full time or Part time study.
Award may be used at: Two or Four-year college.
Designated institutions: California postsecondary institutions accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Applicant must demonstrate: Financial need and proof of eligibility.

Competition/talent/interest in: Applicants are dependents or spouses of law enforcement officials (firefighter, police officer, or public safety officer) who were killed or 100% disabled as a result of an accident or injury in the performance of duty.

Other application requirements: Law Enforcement Personnel Dependents Grant application; copy of currect Student Aid Report (SAR), which is generated after filing a FAFSA.

Award is renewable
