Chi Am Circle Scholarship for High School Students

Chi Am Circle is an Asian American women’s organization based in Santa Clara County. Our organization promotes service, cultural and educational projects for the betterment of the community. Chi Am Circle has invested in the future of our youth for the past 25 years. We award scholarships to Santa Clara County high school seniors of Asian descent who demonstrate academic achievement, as well as involvement in the school and community. Scholarships are awarded for merit, community service, financial need and/or superior extracurricular activities. We will be awarding scholarships starting at $1,000.

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Santa Clara County college-bound high school seniors
- Students of Asian descent
- Students residing in Santa Clara County in California
- Minimum 3.0 GPA

All required application documents must be included in one packet and postmarked by March 30th. Incomplete packets will be disqualified. Return all documents IN THE ORDER LISTED BELOW.
- Application: Complete all parts, and verify by school administrator; incomplete applications will be rejected
- Essay question: If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be and why? (250 words maximum, typed, double-spaced, 12-point font)
- In order of importance to you, what are your top three achievements and why are they important to you? (You may include community service projects and number of hours served, activities, employment and awards or honors)
- List the number of AP and honors classes separately, as well as how many classes are completed and/or in progress
- Two letters of reference from non-family member; one must be from a teacher or counselor
- Copy of SAT or ACT scores
- Official high school transcript (sealed and unopened)
