Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship Awards

These schoalrships, established to commemorate the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi to humankind and to recognize outstanding achievement of graduating seniors of San Diego Area high schools, are awarded each year.

The cash awards together with U.S.Congress Recognition Certificates are given in a special Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Lecture program organized in June or July of each year.

Applicants are required to submit an essay, not exceeding two pages, on Peace and Non-Violence, another essay on the applicant's goals (one page) and a statement of his/her community involvement (one page).
