Single Parent Scholarship

In hopes of encouraging single California parents to pursue higher education, Capture the Dream, Inc. ("CTD") announced the introduction of its Single Parent Scholarship Fund offering college-bound students with a $1,000 scholarship for their dedication and dream of obtaining a four-year degree.

This scholarship is open to all graduating college-bound high school and/or undergraduate single mothers or single fathers already enrolled at four-year institutions. This scholarship does not refer to students that come from a background of having a single parent. Applicants are primarily judged on the strengths of their essays, community service, demonstrated leadership, GPA, and annual household income. Eligible applicants must be well-rounded individuals who have demonstrated exemplary achievements in academic, community, and leadership activities. There is no minimum GPA requirement and there is no application fee required for submission.
