South Coast Water District Scholarship

South Coast Water District awards $500 scholarships every year to college-bound high school seniors who live in the District’s service area in coastal south Orange County, California. Since 2002, we have awarded two to five scholarships every year.

Who is eligible for our scholarships?
College-bound high-school seniors who live in the South Coast Water District service area which includes the communities of Dana Point, Capistrano Beach, Monarch Beach, South Laguna (south of Nyes Place), areas of north San Clemente and areas of north San Juan Capistrano. Students may call the District at 949-499-4555, ext. 3153 if they need to check that they live in our service area.

Scholarship applicants must:
- Show their involvement in public service, community service, volunteer work, and/or environmental activities
- Submit a 500-word essay on a water-related topic
