The Violet Richardson Award

The Violet Richardson Award recognizes young women who have demonstrated their commitment to improve the community and the world through volunteer service. Both the winner and her volunteer organization receive cash awards of $250 each. The recipient is also eligible for awards from Soroptimist Sierra Pacific Region and Soroptimist International of the Americas.

Eligibility: Young women ages 14 to 17 are encouraged to apply.

Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by December 1.

How to Apply: Submit an application including a personal statement of up to 750 words.
