Western Colorado Golf Foundation Scholarships

The following minimum criteria must be met to qualify for a Western Colorado Golf Foundation Scholarship:
- The student must be a graduating senior from a public or private school located on the Western Slope of Colorado (as defined by the Colorado Golf Association) and admitted to an accredited college or university on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 credit hours). If a student is reapplying for a subsequent scholarship, he/she must be a fulltime student with a G.P.A. of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- The student must be a participating member of a high school varsity golf team and/or a junior golf association.
- The scholarship shall be used for books, fees and tuition expenses.
- Any student applying for a scholarship must complete an application form and submit to a personal interview.

Procedures
- Applications must be submitted by March 1 for scholarships to be awarded in the fall term.
- The scholarship committee shall review the applications and select applicants for a structured, personal interview, to be conducted by March 31st.
- Recipients and alternates shall be advised by April 15th.
- Recipients must provide confirmation that they are accepting the scholarship, that they have been admitted to a college or university and of the costs of tuition, books and fees, no later than July 1st.
- If a recipient does not attend college or university or otherwise qualify for a scholarship, the Scholarship Committee shall award the scholarship to an alternate and notify the alternate by August 1.
- Scholarship funds shall be remitted directly to the recipient’s college or university.
