The American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) is a non-profit organization offering an alternative teaching certification program that is accepted by public schools in nine states, including South Carolina.

ABCTE’s Teach & Inspire Scholarship Program recruits, certifies, and supports highly effective new teachers of diverse cultural and professional backgrounds in high-need schools, districts, and subject areas to ensure success for all students. Program participants receive a full tuition scholarship to earn teaching certification through ABCTE and a $1,000 stipend upon completion!

Who we are looking for:

Don’t have a background in education? Don’t worry! Teach & Inspire is currently seeking talented recent college graduates and mid-career professionals to transition into teaching to make a difference in South Carolina, Florida and Mississippi. You do not have to have a background in education for our program, just a minimum of 15 credit hours in the subject area that you’d like to teach!

The Teach & Inspire Scholarship Program is open to anyone who:

*Holds US citizenship or permanent residency
*Has a bachelor’s degree*
*Does not hold a renewable teaching license
*Is willing to make a 3-year teaching commitment in a high-need area in South Carolina, Mississippi or Florida

***Graduating seniors are welcome to apply within two weeks of their official graduation date
