Pathways to Success - Kathryn Nelson Early Childhood Scholarship

The Pathways to Success-Kathryn Nelson Early Childhood Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to early care and education professionals in the St. Louis, Missouri region.

In order to be eligible for a scholarship award, professionals must: 1) have a high school diploma or G.E.D.; 2) currently be employed at least 30 hours per week in a child care center or operate a family child care program in their home; 3) have been employed in the field of early care and education for at least 12 months; 4) live or work in one of the following counties - in Missouri: Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, St. Charles, St. Louis, St. Louis City, or Warren; in Illinois: Calhoun, Clinton, Green, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, Randolph, or St. Clair; and 5) be committed to remaining employed in the field of early care and education after completing a credential and/or degree.

Any early care and education professional that meets the above criteria is invited to apply for the scholarship. Awards are made towards all types of credentials/degrees: Certificate of Proficiency, AA/AAS, BA/BS, and Master's.

Funding is available for one or two college credit courses.

The Kathryn Nelson Early Childhood Scholarship is offered each semester (Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall).
