Michael A. DeMayo Scholarship Program

High school seniors who reside and attend school in the counties served by the Law Offices of Michael A. DeMayo, L.L.P. are encouraged to participate. North Carolina counties include Mecklenburg, Gaston, Catawba, Union, Cabarrus, Cleveland, Lincoln, Rowan, Caldwell, Stanly, Iredell, Alexander, Burke, Robeson, Scotland, Richmond, Anson and Cumberland; South Carolina counties include York, Lancaster, Chesterfield, Marlboro and Dillon.

High school seniors may pick up an application packet at their school's guidance counselor's office or download the application. Essays must be typed and double-spaced on a separate sheet of paper.

To qualify, the student MUST have applied for acceptance for full-time enrollment at a four-year college or university and return the following items to our office:
- A typewritten or neatly printed application
- A presentation (video/PowerPoint/brochure/website/speech) that encourages fellow teens to abstain from underage drinking and driving and/or highlights the dangers of drinking and driving
- High school transcript
- SAT scores (if not included in transcript, a printout from CollegeBoard.com is acceptable)
- Two letters of recommendation (from teachers, athletic coaches, school administrators, club advisors, volunteer work supervisors, employers, religious leaders or family friends)

All of the items listed above MUST be returned to our office in the same packet. Items mailed separately (i.e. letters of recommendation, transcripts, etc.) will not be accepted. Mail entries to:

Applications must be postmarked by February 27th. All personal information provided will be kept strictly confidential. The Law Offices of Michael A. DeMayo, L.L.P. will not be responsible for any late, lost or damaged entries. Entries must be sent by mail. Entries sent by email will not be accepted.
