CMAA Mid-Atlantic Chapter Student Leadership Award

Please be guided by the following application rules in submitting your essay:

1. Topic: “Describe your vision of the construction manger’s role in the future and how our role may improve current construction practices.”

2. Length: 1,500 to 2,500 words, not including references and brief bio.

3. Format: The first sheet will be this completed application. Next, prepare a cover sheet for your essay followed by your essay and references, prepared in MSWord (*.doc or *.pdf) format, double spaced, 11 pt. Arial font. Provide a brief biography of the student in less than 100 words.

4. Deadline for submission: June 3rd

5. Presentation of Awards: Award recipients will receive recognition of their awards at the CMAA Chapter Annual Awards meeting in June, at a location to be announced.

6. Awards and Eligibility: Grants are intended to be awarded to full time and/or part-time college students pursuing an undergraduate curriculum related to the construction industry, who reside or attend college in Pennsylvania (zip code >17000), New Jersey (zip code >08000) and Delaware. Proof of enrollment via transcript or most recent grades must accompany submission. The number and amount of grants depend on the amount of funds available. The Chapter intends to award three grants between $500 and $2,000. Those submissions not qualifying for a monetary award, when submitted in acceptable form and reasonable substance, will be given an “honor award” in the form of a certificate of appreciation at the banquet. Decisions by the Committee are final.

7. Method of submission of essay: Submit your Student Leadership Award essay, attachments and proof of enrollment via email to rbernardini@tnward-ac.com Submissions must be received by the close of business on May 2nd. Address submission to:
