Texas A&M University-Century Scholar Award

The Century Scholars Program is a partnership between Texas A&M University and participating high schools in the Central Texas, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Rio Grande Valley, and San Antonio areas. This program was established to increase the number of enrolled students from under-represented high schools.

Program Benefits
Students selected as Century Scholars are awarded $20,000 over four years, as well as a $1,000 Study Abroad Stipend. But the Century Scholars Program is more than just a monetary award; it offers students access to a first-rate education and programs that prepare students to become state, national, and world leaders:

- Academic support and hands-on contact with advisors
- A faculty mentor
- Monthly meetings to promote achievement and development
- Recognition as a Century Scholar Ambassador

As Ambassadors, Century Scholars receive professional training in public speaking, interviewing, and presentation skills and return to their former high schools to share their experiences and help continue the Texas A&M tradition of excellence. These skills are highly valued by any future employer, professional school, or graduate program.

Application and Selection Process
To be eligible to apply for the Century Scholars Program, students must attend a designated Century Scholar high school. To apply, a prospective student must first complete an application for admission to Texas A&M University and a scholarship application (both of which are available on the Apply Texas website.
