Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Scholarships

You will find copies of fact sheets for all financial aid programs available to students attending Texas colleges and universities online at www.collegefortexans.com (Click on "Paying for College" and "Types of Financial Aid" to access the various categories. Within each category, you will find a listing of programs available to students attending Texas college and universities.

Please note, the State of Texas is prevented by the Hopwood Ruling (Hopwood v. Texas, 1994) from awarding financial aid on the basis of race and/or ethnicity. Most financial aid, with some exceptions, is awarded based on financial need. Each fact sheet lists the specific criteria for eligibility and the process the student goes through to apply (generally, completion of the FAFSA). Also, unless otherwise indicated on the fact sheet, the program contact for most programs will be the Director of Financial Aid at the student's college or university and NOT the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
