The Goss-Michael Foundation Texas Art Scholarship

The Goss-Michael Foundation is extending a scholarship opportunity to all Texas high school graduating seniors who would like to pursue a college education in visual arts. This is a merit based scholarship in the amount of $5,000 that will be given directly to the student’s chosen college or university upon acceptance.

Selection is based on artistic achievement, scholastic achievement, school and community participation, and leadership. All applicants will submit completed scholarship application form, high school transcript, artist’s statement, essay and a CD of 10 original works. Please note that only complete applications will be considered. Recipients will be chosen by a panel of judges comprised of distinguished art professionals.

As well as receiving a scholarship, the recipient will have one piece of art framed and displayed at The Goss-Michael Foundation and will be featured on the Foundation website and monthly newsletter. The scholarship recipient will be announced in May. Applications will be accepted at The Goss-Michael Foundation no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 30th.

Application Requirements
- Applicant must be a graduating senior in Texas
- Applicant must pursue a fine arts degree (painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, art history and art education only)
