Vermont Police Association Scholarships
The Vermont Police Association created the following scholarships:
Erwin Bugbee Memorial Scholarship
- Created in memory of Erwin Bugbee of the Bellows Falls Police Department; Erwin Bugbee was a past president of the Vermont Police Association
- Attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding
- Seek a degree in law enforcement
- Demonstrate financial need
- One $1,000 scholarship
Gene Gaiotti & Ron West Memorial Scholarship
- Created this scholarship in memory of one of its past presidents, Gene Gaiotti, a member of the Vermont Liquor Control Department who was killed in the line of duty, and Ron West
- Be a dependent of a police officer who is an active member of the Vermont Police Association
- Attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding
- Demonstrate financial need
- One $1,000 scholarship
Herbert Fullam Scholarship
- Created in memory of Herbert Fullam of the Springfield Police Department; Herbert Fullam was one of the founders of the Vermont Police Association
- Be a dependent of a Vermont police officer
- Attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding
- Demonstrate financial need
- One $1,000 scholarship
Raymond R. Mooney Scholarship
- Created in memory of Captain Mooney, who served in the Rutland Police Department; Captain Mooney dedicated several years to the Vermont Police Association as secretary/treasurer
- Attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding
- Seek education or training (academic,vocational, technical, or advanced) in a field related to emergency services
- Demonstrate financial need
- One $1,000 scholarship
