Chickasaw Nation Higher Education Grants & Scholarships

Must be a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation and be enrolled in an accredited college/university to obtain an Associates, Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree.

Higher Education Grant (All undergraduate students must apply for federal aid.)
The grant may be awarded to undergraduate, graduate or doctoral students who maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher for each semester. (Amount vary depending on college attending)

Clothing Grant
Chickasaw students attending college may be awarded a clothing grant for each classification as they progress through college (e.g., freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, graduate, doctorate or one as a vocational student). Full-time students will receive a $400 gift card and part-time students (6 hrs +) will receive a $200 gift card.

General Scholarship
Chickasaw students attending three credit hours or more each semester in college while maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher each semester will be eligible for this scholarship. The award is based on enrollment and classification. An incentive is available based on GPA.

Text Book Grant
Chickasaw students attending three credit hours or more each semester in college.
Part-time undergraduate, graduate or doctoral - $100 per semester
Full-time undergraduate, graduate or doctoral - $200 per semester

CN Millennium Scholarship (All full-time undergraduate students must apply for federal aid.)
The Millennium Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors only having a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Each year a maximum of 50 scholarships are given to students who will be attending either college or vocational training upon graduation from high school. The top 50 applicants will each be awarded a $1000 scholarship.

Governor’s, Lt. Governor’s and Legislators’ Scholarships
These scholarships are for graduating high school seniors only (awarded one-time only — no renewal). Students who have a GPA of 3.85 or higher, or who have been selected as class valedictorian or salutatorian are eligible.
Governor’s Scholarship
* 3.95 GPA or higher or class valedictorian. Amount - $500

Lt. Governor’s Scholarship
* 3.90 GPA or higher or class salutatorian. Amount - $400

Legislators’ Scholarship
* 3.85 GPA or higher. Amount - $350

Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes — Johnson O’Malley Scholarship
Each year the Chickasaw Nation awards one male and one female graduating high school senior (awarded one-time only — no renewal). The students must be attending a school within the Chickasaw Nation that has a JOM program. A scholarship award of $300 is awarded to the recipients.
