AJLI Scholarship Program to Study in Israel
Since 1957, the American Jewish League for Israel has supported a progressive, strong, economically viable State of Israel as a whole. The American Jewish League for Israel (AJLI) is not connected to any political party in Israel or the United States. It is independent and dedicated to keeping its members informed and involved.
An endowment fund has been established where all contributions are retained and prudently invested. Income is withdrawn and awarded to qualified students annually as scholarships. As gifts are added to the Fund, income grows annually. The goal is to double the number of scholarships granted at regular intervals.
Partial scholarship grants are offered to selected U.S. college students who are accepted and prepared to spend a full academic year for credit at one of the major universities in Israel: Bar-Ilan University, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Haifa University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Interdisciplinary Center at Herzliya, Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, Technion, Tel Aviv University and the Weizmann Institute of Science. The screening committee will consider each student's merit regardless of whether or not there is financial need.
Further information and a downloadable application is available at the AJLI website. Completed applications (and required enclosures) must be postmarked by May 1 and mailed to:
