JVS Scholarship Program
In partnership with private donors, JVS administers a scholarship program to provide qualified local students with need-based financial aid. Since its founding in 1972, the JVS Scholarship Program has awarded $4 million to more than 3,000 students. Today's recipients are pursuing studies at colleges, universities and vocational schools nationwide.
Applicants must be the following:
- Jewish
- A U.S. citizen or documented legal permanent U.S. resident
- A permanent and legal resident of Los Angeles County
- Planning to attend school full-time (12 units minimum per term) at an approved college, university, or vocational school in the United States, including graduate programs
The primary criterion for scholarship selection is financial need, but Jewish community involvement and service orientation is also considered. Please visit our site on January 31st for this year's application.
