Bernice Murray Scholarship

The Bernice Murray Scholarship Foundation was created by U.S. Senator James Jeffords, along with family and friends of Bernice Murray, long-time aide to Senator Jeffords. The scholarship was established to honor her unselfish contributions to improving the lives of Vermonters. The aim of the foundation is to make a difference in the lives of Vermont families, as Bernice Murray helped make a positive difference in the lives of so many human beings during her short life.

Eligibility:
- Attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding (Pell grants, Stafford loans, PLUS loans)
- Be a single parent with primary custody of at least one child 12 years of age or younger
- Demonstrate financial need
