Courageous Persuaders Video Scholarship Competition

Courageous Persuaders is a high school video scholarship competition created to make a difference in the tragic statistics related to death and underage drinking. The competition encourages high school students to apply their creative talents in the creation of 30-second public service announcements that stress the message of the dangers of underage drinking. This process empowers high school students to become teachers, positive role models, and community leaders for middle school students. Middle school students review and judge the videos and determine the scholarship winners.

Videos must be uploaded to our website no later than 5 p.m. on February 9th. The grand prize commercial will be broadcast on television.

High school students attending a United States high school can participate; emphasis is placed on concept and the message of underage drinking prevention, not on production values. Students are encouraged to use whatever video equipment is available to them. Teachers and principals, school audio/visual departments, parents and community leaders are urged to share their equipment and lend local support by promoting the program as a very unique scholarship competition that is fun to participate in and has a powerful impact on a serious problem.
