Scholarship Description

Payton's Project has established an annual scholarship award to provide $1000 scholarships to up to 24 high school seniors or currently enrolled students at accredited higher learning institutes. These students must have persevered through the effects of bullying or who have made efforts to minimize bullying in their school/community. Our hope is to honor students who aim to promote awareness, education, and positive change in response to the issues surrounding bullying and cyberbullying.

Submissions must consist of a video (less than 5 minutes) or a written essay (no more than 2 pages, 12pt, single spaced) that identifies and discusses the applicant's experience with bullying, and 2 written recommendations from the faculty, staff, or administration at the school in which they are enrolled, to serve as validation that they applicants' words and actions promote an environment of acceptance and tolerance within the school community.
