Scholarship Description

The mission of The Rezvan Foundation is to support the academic pursuits of exceptionally talented young students who have spent time in foster care. The Foundation provides ongoing mentorship and scholarship funding for full tuition up to $100,000 over the course of four years for each Awardee. Scholarship funds only intended for/shall only be used to pay general instructional fees owed to the accredited four-year university attended by the awardee. Applications open in the fall of the current year for seniors graduating in the spring of next year.

To be eligible, applicants must: be a minor currently or formerly in foster care, or a minor who has been orphaned, or a minor who has been adopted after time spent in foster care; be a US resident; be a high school senior who attends on attending a college/university next year; have no disciplinary record (academic or criminal); have submitted applications to at least one accredited institution; and have at least a 3.5 GPA. Students with a lower GPA may be considered if the student can demonstrate significant academic growth. If you have a cumulative GPA lower than 3.5, please submit a written statement along with your application explaining the circumstances surrounding your lower GPA and how you managed to overcome those obstacles to succeed academically.
