Scholarship Description

The purpose of the NSSED Foundation Kinnett Scholarship for College/Further Education is to provide financial assistance for graduating high school seniors to accomplish one of two specific goals: to aid students whose intention is to pursue a college degree in the area of special education; or to aid students receiving special education services to pursue their choice of further education, whether through a college or vocational school. Any graduating senior from an NSSED affiliated high school program who fits one of the aforementioned purposes is eligible to apply.

In addition, the students are required to submit: a list of student and community activities in which they have been involved, including service to children and/or families with disabilities; a list of awards or accomplishments; two letters of recommendation, one personal and one from a high school teacher or administrator; and a transcript indicating academic achievement.
