Scholarship Description

The NBCC Foundation is excited to announce the availability of rural scholarships for students pursuing a career in professional counseling. These scholarships aim to increase the number of counselors serving people in rural areas. The program provides financial support to students currently enrolled in a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)-accredited counseling master’s program.

Scholarship Details

  • Five scholarships available, each valued at $8,000
  • For students in a CACREP-accredited counseling master’s program
  • Recipients commit to serve in rural areas for at least two years post-graduation

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time enrollment in a CACREP-accredited counseling master’s program
  • Residency in a rural area as defined by HRSA
  • Good standing in the program with coursework commenced
