Scholarship Details

  • The Walgreens Expressions Challenge Initiative offers a creative outlet for high school students to express themselves on serious topics, enhancing their connection to peers and community.
  • Artistic expression combined with research empowers students to influence positively, using their voices to address topics like bullying, self-esteem, and sexual responsibility.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to all legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, aged 13 to 18, enrolled in high school.
  • Not open to professional artists or anyone deriving 20% of their income from artistic services, Walgreens employees, or their immediate family members.

Application Process

  1. Choose a topic that impacts you personally, such as social media influence, cyberbullying, or mental health, among others.
  2. Select from one of four categories: Spoken Word, Visual Arts, Media Arts, or Creative Writing, to submit your entry.
  3. Submit your entry by March 31st, ensuring it adheres to the guidelines including originality, English language, and avoiding explicit content.
