- The Jane Doe No More, Inc. Scholarship offers financial assistance to men and women enrolled in two- or four-year college degree programs at accredited institutions, graduate education assistance for continuing studies, secondary education programs at accredited vocational, technical or art schools. Applicants may be enrolled full or part-time, and must have a demonstrated commitment to work, studies or other disciplines related to our mission.
-Must have a demonstrated interest or connection to the guiding principles of Jane Doe No More, Incorporated. -Applicants will submit an essay detailing work experiences, volunteer experiences, educational programs, clubs, or organizations they have been a part of that. Essays should be typed and double-spaced; essays more than one page in length cannot be considered. Appropriate connections may include, but are not limited to: coursework in criminal justice, women's studies, law, victim's rights, social services, counseling; work or volunteer experience in law enforcement, legal aid, victim's advocacy groups, women’s centers or shelters; active involvement with campus or community support groups, advocacy initiatives, personal safety programs.
-Applicants must submit a single, short paragraph or statement detailing their current or intended major, and projected post-graduation career plans.
-Each applicant must submit two, one-page letters of reference; at least one reference must be from a current teacher or professor.
-Must have a minimum 2.75 GPA
A personal interview may be required at the discretion of the scholarship committee, and may be done by one or more committee members in person, by phone or via Skype.
