Cosmetology Scholarships

Legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent once said, "The most beautiful makeup for a woman is passion. But cosmetics are easier to buy." While there are some people who are passionate about beauty products, there are others with the artistic inclination and desire to help people transform their looks. Furthermore, cosmetology isn't solely about aesthetic transformation but about helping people feel happy and confident.

Beauty school, like any college or university education, is not cheap. Although beauty school is outside of a traditional college setting, the education can still be costly and leave students wondering how they will pay for school. Depending on the school you choose to attend, the tuition costs can get pricey. Some certificate programs in cosmetology may have limited financial aid opportunities attached. Aspiring cosmetology students also may not think to look for cosmetology scholarships, thinking they need to pay their way through school on their own. Like all other fields and trades, there are many scholarship opportunities for students pursuing a career in the beauty industry.

Cosmetology students need not rely entirely on student loans to help them get through college. Foundations such as the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation offers a variety of scholarships based on skill level and discipline. List below are just a few of the cosmetology scholarships you can find on our site. For more information on cosmetology scholarships, as well as scholarship awards for your other attributes and interests, conduct a free college scholarship search.
