I am a 16 year old high school junior who has always dreamed of attending Spelman College. I have visited Spelman College and I love the beautiful, lively, and hopeful atmosphere. With Spelman being such a prestigious and competitive historically black college, I can imagine myself succeeding there. I desire to go into college with a English-Law major. I dream of going to law school and becoming an attorney. I also plan to dedicate myself to the oldest Greek-letter organization established in America by Black college women, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. It is essential to be determined and know what you want in live in order to succeed. I plan to stretch my arms wide, reach, and grab all the advantages this world has to offer.

I've been dreaming of going to Spelman University since I was 4 years old. I'm 17 now, and will be applying in a couple of weeks, majoring in political science/ minoring in business. Although I've never been to the college, I have always heard good news about the college. The concept of going to a prestigious Historically Black All- Female University excited me (and the fact that Morehouse is nearby the university =]) I also plan on following my older sister's footsteps and becoming a Delta Sigma Theta. I would like to tell everyone applying to this college in the future to be determined and do the best you can! I made a promise to myself at age 4 that seemed so crazy to my peers but it doesn't matter what anyone says - you determine your future through hard work... and it pays off! Good luck to everyone applying!
