Education is a key part of success, and we focus on bringing that to students in North America through our BK Scholars Program. The BK Scholars Program is the Foundation’s flagship program, established to honor the legacy of the Burger King brand’s co-founder James W. McLamore, whose commitment to philanthropy and education made him a pillar of community service throughout his lifetime.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarships range from $1,000 to $60,000
- Available for high school seniors, Burger King employees, and their families
- Over $4.5 million awarded to nearly 4,200 students last year
- Scholarship awards intended to cover costs for college or vocational/technical school
Eligibility Criteria
- High school senior or Burger King employee (or family member of an employee)
- Demonstrates strong academic performance, community service, and financial need
- Consideration of GPA, work experience, extracurricular activities, and community involvement
Application Process
- Complete the BK Scholars Program application form available on the program’s website between October 15, 2024, and December 16, 2024
- Submit academic transcripts and other required documentation to demonstrate eligibility
- Ensure all application materials are submitted by the December 16, 2024 deadline
Through the Burger King Scholars program, we award scholarships to deserving high school seniors and Burger King employees and their families to help advance their education. Our goal is to grant one scholarship for every BK® restaurant — that’s more than $7 million each year!
