Illinois Tech has several of its own competitive scholarship programs that are open to both undergraduate and graduate students. All domestic undergraduate first-year and transfer students are automatically considered for scholarships that cover a generous portion of expenses such as tuition. Graduate students in select degree programs also may be considered for additional special scholarships, beyond any fellowships that they may receive. While many scholarships support undergraduate students, Illinois Tech also offers competitive scholarships for transfer students, graduate students, and international students.
All domestic transfer students to Illinois Tech are automatically considered for a merit-based transfer scholarship when they submit their completed application. No additional application is required. If a student earns multiple Illinois Institute of Technology merit scholarships throughout the admission process, the university will award the highest merit award for which the student is qualified but will not combine multiple awards. The total number of awards and the dollar amounts will vary.
