WTS is dedicated to fostering the development of women and girls in the transportation industry by encouraging students to pursue careers in transportation-related fields. The WTS Transportation YOU High School Scholarship provides financial support to high school seniors in the Chicagoland area who are excelling in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and have a passion for transportation.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship awards for female students pursuing careers in transportation or related fields
- Greater Chicago Chapter Award: $1,000
- WTS International Foundation Award: $2,500 (nomination required from the Greater Chicago Chapter)
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a high school senior attending school in the Chicagoland area
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be currently studying math, science, or technology
- Must be considering a career in a transportation-related field
- Minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

Chicago Chapter awards will be presented at the annual scholarship event in Chicago, IL, during the summer following the award. National awards will be presented in May at the annual WTS International Conference in Atlanta. Scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to attend the awards event.
