Scholarship Description

The MIT THINK Scholars Program, part of MIT TechX, fosters student-led innovation in STEM fields. It offers mentorship and funding to high school students across the US to turn their research proposals into reality.

Scholarship Details

  • Initiative of MIT TechX for promoting student-led innovation in STEM.
  • Accepts project proposals from high school students across the US.

  • Finalists receive an all-expenses paid trip to MIT.
  • Designated as MIT THINK Scholars upon successful project completion.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be full-time high school students.
  • Must have permanent U.S. residency during the academic year.
  • U.S. citizenship is not a requirement, but U.S. citizens living abroad are not eligible.
  • Limited to one proposal per academic year, individually or in a group of two.

Application Process

  1. Register for an account and enter personal information.
  2. (Optional) Partner with another student.
  3. Submit a written project proposal adhering to specific guidelines.
