  • *The Maryland Tech Council (MTC), Maryland’s largest technology trade association, provides Scholarships for eligible and interested candidates, apply today!*

    Maryland Tech Council STEM Scholarship is offering five (5) $4,500, one-time scholarships funded/sponsored by Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. The scholarships will be awarded to five graduating high school students residing in Maryland who have committed to attending a public college or university in the state of Maryland. The college/university must be a public, 2-year or 4-year accredited institution and the student must be pursuing a STEM-related field of study (science, technology, engineering, math). Scholarships will be awarded to five (5) students who have been selected by a panel of judges. Recipients must be able to accept the scholarship in person at the Industry Awards Celebration on May 22nd at 5:30 PM at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. "U of Farmington" Fraudsters Prosecuted, Deported

E-tail giant Amazon is now accepting applications to its Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program for students entering college in the fall of 2020. NC Senator Proposes Taxing of Athletic Scholarships

In response to the NCAA's vote to allow athletes to profit from their names, images and likeness, Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina has proposed taxing those scholarships. Senator Burr tweeted: "If college athletes are going to make money off their likenesses while in school, their scholarships should be treated like income. I'll be introducing legislation that subjects scholarships given to athletes who choose to 'cash in' to income taxes." [...]
