The CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship supports full-time Black scholars pursuing degrees in visual arts fields such as architecture, ceramics, drawing, fashion, graphic design, illustration, painting, photography, video production, and other decorative arts. This scholarship aims to empower talented individuals to achieve their academic and professional goals in visual arts.
Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Preparing to pursue or currently pursuing a degree full-time at an accredited college or university
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Black or African American
Application Process
- Complete the online application
- Submit a video response as a personal statement.
- Provide samples of creative work (up to 5 images, preferably with a cohesive theme) or a sample video for non-illustration areas.
- Upload two letters of recommendation.
- Submit academic transcripts directly through the Academic Works portal.
- Provide a resume detailing work experience, extracurricular activities, honors, community service, and special skills.
- Upload a recent professional-quality photograph suitable for publication.
